Do women who can’t get pregnant naturally (not talking adoption, but would need IVF/surrogate) ever just feel like they weren’t “meant” to have children? Like maybe this just wasn’t the universe’s plan for me?

My boyfriend wants kids. The only kids I want are the ones with fur and 4 legs. He loves them because he has nieces and nephews, but he doesn’t even wake up when our senior cat cries at night or throws up on the floor. I’m the one that hears it. Doesn’t make me feel hopeful that he’ll wake up when he hears a baby cry at night. He sleeps like a log.

I had a rather interesting runken conversation with a female friend since school. She said that if she was assured of an equal relationship with her husband and financial security, she would rather raise a family full time than work and raise a family. Curios if this is a not an uncommon thought among female fish. Both of us are in our 30s if that helps

Anyone else struggle to conceive on their second child? It’s so baffling as we had no trouble getting pregnant right away twice (one ended in miscarriage) the first time we were trying. I had a miscarriage at work and one partner had to take me to the ER as I was bleeding heavily. He asked if he can tell another partner I’m close with because he is away starting Monday and wants someone at work to know and be there for support. I wouldn’t mind in principal but a bit worried about being baby tracked. Not by the other partner but if word got out and other partners find out. But also I could really use some support as I have some work files I need someone to help cover. Thought?
