Just got denied for a different position under same client. I'm devastated. No one wants me.
You ever feel like you're just failing to excel in consulting? Today and yesterday have been really hard to tap into any discipline to push past whatever brain fog/lack of motivation is preventing me from making progress on this project. I don't know if I'm just tapped out or not cut out for this type of intensity, but I'm 1.5 yrs into consulting after working in industry and this seems to happen too often. I just don't feel like I'm as good as my peers and don't know that I can get there.
Hi fishes, Need your help. I have joined CTS a week ago. Now I have received a project proposal from TSC. The domain is "Insurance" and the account name is NATIONWIDE MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY. How this account and domain will be? Shall I accept that proposal. If I have given interested means then definitely I need to work in that project? Kindly clarify me. Kindly help me please.
Hi! I’m majoring in IT & don’t know what I want to go into once I graduate. I’ve been set on getting an internship but it looks like I’m too late to land one for summer 2022 so I’m going to prepare for summer 2023. I’m anxious because I have no experience being 20 years old. I have 4-5 years of customer service experience but so does every student. What internships are more accepting of beginners? Project management, technical account Manager, Systems engineer maybe? Still learning the field.
I am starting a new role with a new company and will have 6 direct reports. Although I have managed teams before in a consulting project setting, this will be the first time in industry. Any recommendations on how to sharpen my management skills (books, blogs, etc). Particularly looking at how to delegate effectively and practical examples on how to run day to day.
Looking for advice on how to approach in-house counsel in order to form a client relationship. How do you select an attorney or firm to work on intellectual property matters?
At what point in your pregnancy did you tell your project leadership that you were pregnant?
So here’s my question (I’m a first year BTA): I tend to agree to help the client to do stuff without checking with my manager, I’m eager to help and contribute bonding the relationship with the client. And I seem to get blamed for working more because they keep saying it’s “not in scope”. I don’t understand that if nothing is in scope, then why am I here?????
How is the Amway project in nagarro?
1st day on new project and I get upgraded for the 1st time. Is it bad to get a morning mimosa? Good or bad sign that I'm already drinking?
Is there a good screen sharing app which can be accessed thru browsers and doesn't require software downloads? Need a good viable option for a client who doesn't use Skype
So I have decided to stop playing silly games and start acting like a real person instead of a consultant (Probably will leave soon, so don't care if I get fired). Turns out my client loves it, lol.
I’ve been staffed on a project with a shitty manager for the last 9 months and FINALLY had the balls to talk to my SM about my concerns and they’ve noticed a lot of the same issues and said the rest of the team has also raised similar concerns - I could cry 😭 I thought I was just bad at my job all this time bc I leave every meeting with my M with a laundry list of things to do and feel so defeated an anxious that I won’t ever get it all done but it feels so good to know I’m not alone!
"Here's this thing. Client wanted it yesterday. It's needs to be done. Happy thanksgiving I'm out all next week" 😑😡🖕
Hello fishes I'm yet o serve 1month of notice period I need some break from this hectic project. Any ideas to get early release Or moving to bench without complications.
Does Accenture rescind offers? I got one 2 months ago but the TFS hasn’t staffed me on a project yet. Didn’t get hired to the bench.
Anyone willing to connect and provide coaching on how to get into MBB or management consulting in general? I recently have an interview with one of the MBB for EM position, I don't think I would get it, but interested in learning more as I've always wanted to do management consulting. I plan to reapply in a year or so.
Have my CPA but thinking about becoming a certified financial planner after leaving public accounting. How difficult and time consuming is the exam compared to the CPA? Is it worth it?
How easy can I make the move from Senior/VP level healthcare strategy role into a big consulting shop?
Anyone take courses/get a degree from Harvard Extension School? Experience? Was it worth it? Are you also able to build a network? Realize it’s not like an MBA, but that doesn’t fit my life now .
Base salary for Level 2 SC in ESG/Sustainability at Deloitte in Chicago, non-MBA? Currently unemployed, recovering engineer and new to consulting. Recruiter said mid-range is $75-90k and he could throw in a $3k signing bonus.
Any experience/knowledge about McKinsey implementation practice? How is the culture, pay and development opportunities compared to the traditional practices?McKinsey & Company
Not to be a debbie, but can anyone from the last recession tell me more about layoffs? When would you expect that to happen if things continue as is? And does what account you work on matter?
Currently or recently pregnant ladies, does anybody know if gender testing (eg, maternit21) counts towards your deductible? I have Aetna, not sure if that matters.
What are the details around the Deloitte layoffs? Any particular methodology to letting people go?
Sorry for this post. I generally half heartedly listen to "I had a dream last night" stories. First off they are yours not mine and secondly the actions never actually happened. With that let me tell you about my awesome dream last night 🤪🤪🤪 I dreamed that Corna was gone and I was able to go make a in-person sales call. It was magical.
Any ladies in the UK who have insured their jewellery, please recommend insurance agencies / evaluators. New to the country and need help in this department.
Is there a rule when one is conducting witness interviews for an internal investigation that you should not show the witness a specific email that he or she is not involved in (email A) even though he or she might be involved in an earlier email in the same email chain (email B) and these two emails are in the same email chain/exhibit and you inadvertently show the witness email A? Sorry if this was poorly worded…running on very few hours of sleep
This is an honest question. I may be naive/over-simplifying. But if you’ve worked your way up the big agency ladder - have the titles, awards, big client resume, would it be lucrative to start your own small agency in a small market? I have to imagine you could specialize in local businesses (breweries, restaurants, etc) at affordable prices and do well with a small crew.
PwC fish, if I were to move from MCOL to HCOL, will the salary get adjusted? What about moving from HCOL to MCOL?
Got ghosted by a recruiter after he promised to pass my resume along for a role. Just saw the role posted by the agency on LI. Should I re-apply with them directly?
Does anyone have experience in transitioning from tax (specifically transaction tax) to an advisory group? Recruiter suggests it’s a mix of FP&A, Deal Advisory and some technical accounting. I definitely am interested in pursuing the role as pivoting out of tax is something I’ve wanted to do, but concerned the learning curve might be overwhelming without an audit background. S2 with 3.5 YOE.
Recently laid off, and struggling to land interviews. Anyone have tips or tricks on how to get an independent consultant role?
