hey folks, I am going to join Oracle ossi in Hyderabad location. I have never been to Hyderabad, and will be relocating. Please guide on what would be good areas to look for rent. Also, what would be rent like for 2/3 bhk. Ideally my budget for rent would be <25k. Initially I will be going but in future my family will join me once I am settled. Any points to note or any other gotcha to keep in mind ? Please suggest.

In full, always.
In full if I got a discount but I don’t think I get a discount option
That’s a nice discount. Who’s offering the 10%? I would do that if I could. BTW what state, what kind of car, and what do you pay? Virginia, Erie Insurance, BMW 428ix, $850ish.
You’re saying $850 over what length of time? 6 months I’m guessing?

My insurance company charges 18% on the balance, I pay in full.
I used to use AAA insurance but now I only use em for the tow service. Their insurance is too expensive

No discount, so I pay monthly.
I pay whatever is cheapest.
Pro
Progressive is big on full discounts, but not all offer it such as USAA. Always take discount, but time value of money invested is important if it’s very small.
Out of payroll deductions every 2 weeks. Same price. If you work at EY, call mercer voluntary benefits and they will get you started.

I paid in full every year because I get a 10% discount. I do this with other things too, like pet health insurance. I use it as an opportunity if I sign up for a new credit card to meet the min spending limit to earn the sign-up bonus.
I think my insurance has a difference of less than $10/year if I do monthly with auto withdrawal or pay in full, so I do monthly since I like a smoother cash flow line.
With prior companies we always paid up front since there was such a big difference.
In full. Preferably with a card that gives 5% cashback or points
Geico is just a flat $5 fee per month if you go with the monthly and not % based. I have just paid monthly for a cash flow perspective.
Not really sure because I haven’t needed to use my insurance but it was easy to setup, no issues with renewing/they haven’t jacked up rates.
