Do you all think our travel requirements will go down next year? That 80% travel got pretty old and now experienced the good life.

I hope so

Probably, but each person has their own likes / dislikes. While some like the reduced travel, others miss it quite a bit.

Hoping so. There is absolutely no reason why clients should be paying pre-pandemic travel expenses, especially for junior folks on the teams

Can you cash in on the lodging per diem and use air bnb instead of booking the preferred rate hotels for client travel? I think I'd rather have the cash than the hotel points.

My flight from DCA-> TPA literally just had to abort takeoff to let a 12 year old boy deplane. Ready for a damn drink!

Strategy I’ve been running courtesy of BC: long put on Tesla 5/15, long call weeklies at lows to delta hedge, sell at high and simultaneously avg down long puts cuz it’s about to blow anytime

Business traveler here. I stay at Marriott/SPG hotels. I can’t bill flights so I charge hotels, taxis and food each week. Which is better Amex SPG or Chase Sapphire Preferred for building points?

For the Delta fast track that's going on - does it register a round trip flight as two one-ways? It phrases everything in terms of one-ways, but I'm going to be booking round trip. Thank you!

How does everyone bill for travel? Example - flying out Monday for a depo on Tues Wed, flying back Thursday. My gut has always been to bill for working hours time on the flying days and hearing days, but is that what everyone does? Can I bill 8 hours (or more) for a full travel day even if I’m not working every minute (but I’m also not not-working)? Nobody at my firm talks about this and at this point I’m too embarrassed to ask.

Been at Facebook for a month in a BizOps role. However, I just got a (very delayed) offer to be a Marvel product manager at Disney Streaming. Comp is 30k less at DSS and not as good benefits, I’d burn a bridge, and I’m happy at FB but scared of losing a good opp

Might be a paranoid mom question - my 16 month old is starting daycare next week. So far, I’ve had virtual interviews/meet and greet sessions with the daycare staff. Today we went in for our in-person orientation and I noticed that my child is the only non-white kid in his class of 8. Not entirely shocking, but in my head (and having seen pictures in their catalog) I was hoping there would be a little more diversity. Should I be worried about my kid feeling left out because he looks different?
