Do you always pay dividend tax when you file tax or earlier? What are some good mutual funds that have lower dividends hence reducing the taxes owed?

One idea that sounded wise to me is to concentrate dividend stocks in tax-advantaged accounts, and avoid them in taxable

like

I assume it is possible to ask your brokerage to withhold federal income tax from dividends when paid, but I have never done it and presume you would need to ask them.

I just buy the big index funds and don’t worry about minimizing dividends.

like

It's not an index fund but you could look at something like BRK.B that doesn't pay dividends.

Can someone legitimately explain to why bankers take so long to come up with LBO models on the financing side, and refuse to allow us to review them in detail? Can anyone walk me through what happens on the other side? It tends to be very frustrating.

Term life insurance question - I added the AICPA annual term policy last year. I've noticed personal finance media seems to push 10-20 year term and not discuss annual.

It was considerable cheaper up front and more at the end than 10yr per the fee schedule. If all goes according to plan I'll be at or close to FI within 5-7 years so not sure that I'd keep the full amount past then and would miss the benefit of the cheaper years at the end. Am I missing other risks of not doing 10+ term?

I will be moving to a new City soon and may have 2 offers, one is a small firm, another is Aws. Although AWS is the company I can see myself be successful in, since they encourage their employees to grow, I have heard a lot about Aws and other big companies laying off people when I see posts on LinkedIn hence I am afraid to jump into it and my budget after taking moving expenses out of my pocket will be tight too so as to survive during lay off in a big city in case. Any suggestions?
