Hey BCG fish. Just got feedback after my decision round interviews that I passed the interviews but finance team is determining hiring needs because I’m an experienced hire. Does this mean offer?

Looking for insights from any seller at any of the hold co’s. I have an opportunity to join a new team at a hold co but I’m not sure if it will be a great move to make. I’m doing very well where I am, book of biz is thriving, but the allure of working at a larger company than my small company seems like a great resume builder. I’m not sure where I want to be in 5 years, but this seems like a good way to make myself more appealing. I’ll have to rebuild my book of biz, which means pay cut.

Hi there! My boss has recently hired more people and she is not managing our new size well. She clearly cannot handle bigger teams and translates her panic into overly-controlling and suffocating structures. Team members have no voice and if they do, it’s something really minor. She talks a lot about a shared vision, reading Dare to Lead together, etc, but it comes off as shallow. How do I call her out in the most supportive way possible? I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director l, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

Remote scientists - do you think pharma companies will continue to allow remote work, or are you seeing them start to require people to come into the office? I’m hearing that people are being told they need to make adjustments to be able to be on site.

I’m currently at a director level of a large research program in academia and oversee operations. Prior to that I was a clinical research coordinator with extensive trial experience from study startup-close out.
