I’m getting ready to start my FT position as a HUC (Health Unit Coordinator) in Labor and Delivery. I know it will be a while before I do anything of the sort, or IF I do anything of the sort. But I wondered if there were any other HUCs on here who crosstrained? (Wether as a PCT Patient Care Tech, Medical Records, or Telemetry?) was it worth it?

Okay everyone, I need to rant here.

I'm so sick and tired of getting an email everyday! And I mean every single day getting a COVID 19 email saying there are cases.

My school gets so many cases, I firmly believe we need to go back on lock down and online. This is getting ridiculous that we put state funding over the well being of our students and staff!! I dont want to get sick nor get covid or spread it to our students.

And our job wonders why no one wants to work for us and stay working.

I see a lot of people being promoted in 4-5 cycles from A to AC. I joined ZS with high hopes and found the work quality extremely poor. Everyone knowledgeable is moving out, and I feel like I'm not getting good projects where I can make an impact and prove myself. Also I suffer from a severe anxiety disorder and am very poor at social skills due to the anxiety. I feel so lost and cannot push myself too much due to my fragile mental health. Will I be fired if my performance is consistently poor?

Would you accept a recruiter’s call even if you’re not looking to change jobs? I’m happy where I am but a part of me wants to at least know what’s out there, and to establish a relationship with the recruiter. If I find a great opportunity (one with more responsibility, larger mandate, great team fit), then I will consider it, but I am not actively looking otherwise.

Anyone got a ridiculous bill for electricity of Feb when the outage happened? My bill is doubled! I use Trieagle Energy &the Oncor meter reads normal consumption on 2/15-2/17 even though I had 50+ outage hours

I only got 40 minutes - 2 hours of electricity a day 🤣🤣 Only used the kitchen to cook up food and heat up some water (nothing excessive like dryer or TV or oven). It’s so ridiculous!!
And Oncor said their meter is 99% correct 🙄.

Is there a way to dispute or prove the meter was wrong?

In short it was saying “we want to help you grow your skills” with an invitation to talk to my manager and sign up for a “non degree development initiative”.
