Monday. Why would covid change anything?

like

I shut off my phone and laptop when I finish on Friday and generally don't turn them back on till Sunday evening, and that's just long enough to check to see if there's anything I need to be aware of for first thing Monday morning. Exceptions are if I know ahead of time that I'm going to be doing weekend work (BD work, stuff that can't wait till Monday, etc). If something comes up out of the blue that needs a reply on the weekend, my team has my personal cell number.

Always Monday.

Always check emails on the weekends, respond to urgent things, and draft but delay on non urgent. Most things aren’t urgent but when I’m dealing with senior exec clients, it’s very likely things come up they need attention. Or proposals, those typically require weekend work and I want to make sure I’m responsive to asks for my big captures. This hasn’t changed with Covid. Unfortunately not in the type of job that shuts down on Friday’s until Monday.

Monday unless it’s super critical and can’t wait till Monday AM.

On weekends I reserve an hour in the am to check and reply to emails with my morning coffee. Same if I were traveling.

They come through on my phone so I see them but I don’t fully read or reply to anything until Monday (unless I see it’s urgent) and only ever reply during working hours too

I’m close enough with colleagues (I think) that if there was an urgent email they’d follow up with a text. Otherwise, I typically take an hour Sunday evening after kids are in bed to prep for the week. No email responses, but do read any new ones, review the calendar for the week, and update my to do’s based on where I left off Friday. Responses first thing Monday.

Never check unless I know something urgent might happen.

Hey fellow moms, curious to know about any exceptionally good or bad policies from companies to help parents navigate covid, parenting and work. My boss asked me for how we could better support parents as winter approaches and younger kids still can’t get vaccinated. Have any of your companies handled things like quarantining with young kids while still working well?

Confession - I don't want to go back to office. I'm happy working from home and find no solid reason in stepping back. I hope the flexi work culture allows permanent WFH - I don't have a "good enough" reason, but I don't want to go (isn't this good enough?) It's been 1.5 years now, too comfortable to step out from my PJs to jeans.

Be gentle - I really want to change my lifestyle but don’t know how to start as it all seems so overwhelming. I have so many issues and hurdles to work through and could use some advice on how to start. - I have been skinny and inactive my whole life. I’m in my late 30s and had live handles before Covid but now just have a gross belly and horrible posture - I’ve never developed good eating habits. I eat junk, don’t have regular mealtimes and usually eat one big unhealthy meal as a binge a day

Help! I am 6’1” tall with long legs and long feet .... and it seems like my “go to online store” for tall pants/slacks (32”-34” inseam) as well as shoes (size 14M) has shuttered (Long Tall Sally). I would love any suggestions for either tall clothes and/or shoes. Even a place to buy custom shoes at this point - I am desperate! My slightly too small size 13 Tory Burch sandals are just not going to cut it during the colder months, even given COVID 🤪 Thanks in advance!
