Do you consider it a negative if a creative has been at the same place for a long time? If so, how can they overcome it?

Depends on if he or she has grown while there. Has the work progressed or have they been phoning it in overseeing the same formulaic tv spots or have they overseen teams coming up with cool ideas to move client's business forward. Did they learn new things while at their agency? Do younger employees love them because they bring out the best in those jrs they mentor. Lots of CCOs only want to see candidates with awards, which, I guess, if your bonus depends on award winning work, makes sense, so even though one may have tons of talent and is qualified, you may not have a shot. if you've been somewhere forever and have no awards, it's probably not great. I personally would not be able to present you to award focused CCOs unless you have some Lions. Currently I work for a fabulous CCO who could give fuck all about awards, so it's been fun to find candidates for our CCO.
Ways to overcome it...hmmm, I guess keep up with what competitors are up to and keep up with what's going on with technology. I can't say that enough. You never know when you'll be able to incorporate it into your big ideaor it might BE the big idea and clients are still clamouring for it Make sure your smartest most talented employees love you. I hear horror stories about CDs, ECDs, CCOs and GCDs all the time. Recruiters don't forget that shit and if we have a bad experience ourselves, we warn each other. It's not like we don't talk to each other.

Does your portfolio look the same as it did 5 years ago? If so, yes.

If your work has evolved over time, great!

One would hope you’re rotating on to different clients and industry categories so your portfolio isn’t stale.

That feeling when you get an offer for a full time job… but:

How accurate are the salary ranges for job listings on Glassdoor?

I got a verbal offer from a WPP agency today. The role's budgeted salary is 5k less than my desired salary.
The recruiter can get me closer but still not at my desired salary. Otherwise - it would have to go through a long approval process with no guarantee that the salary would even be OK'd.
I'm coming from a small agency, so I could be wrong - but I don't want to sell myself short by accepting the first salary they offer. Do I have any room to negotiate? Or is that risky?

From agency to client side as a executive/senior executive, is asking 15 to 20% pay increment reasonable? I have relevant industry experience as well.

Hey Recruiters!
I’ve worked from the creative side to strategy to accounts to client side and have done so all over. I had to take about a year and a half long break for health reasons and am having a hard time having anyone even look at my resume. Are there ways I can show recruiters that I’m interested in settling down and building a true foundation at one company? Or is there a program (not requiring a bachelors) that can be taken to increase my network and likelihood of landing a position?

An agency interviews you for 3 rounds (job involves a move). Is there value in saying “I have an offer” just to get them to say yes or no, so you can finally know if you’re moving or staying?

What are some important points to cover when answering “why do you want to work here”? Also how in depth should this answer be when filling it out in a job application?

Hey Recruiters! I need some advice / insight-
I have been in media planning and strategy for 2 years now (straight out of college) but am looking to make a career change. I've always been interested in Talent Acquisition but don't know where to even begin making that jump. I would love to stay in the Advertising industry but want to try out the Talent Acquisition area. Does anyone have any tips on how to get started making that jump?

Do online application go into a deep dark hole, or do they actually get looked at?
