LOVE cooking..I don't think I have a singular specialty, but I do have a couple go to dishes. It helps having lots of different gadgets (cooking appliances was like our entire wedding registry). Look into sous vide machine and vacuum sealed. Very versatile, and you can pop any food in there, go away, and it will always come out perfectly cooked.
Getting better at cooking was one of my 2017 goals bc I was spending way too much eating out and it wasn't healthy either. It IS possible to buy food for the weekend and cook fri-sun. A weekend's worth of groceries costs me $20-30 and I always have food when I get home late on Thursday or want breakfast on Friday.
I don't have a specialty. I make lots of meat and fish dishes bc they are fast and I like protein. Also, salad is the easiest thing ever. Throw some lettuce and random things in a bowl, then put a hard boiled egg or piece of grilled chicken on it and you're done

Anything really (but am a vegetarian so no meat or fish, but eggs for sure). Recently into fried eggs in or on anything. Recently cooked out while WFH for a week and made crispy sweet and red potato garlic hash with fried eggs. Then moved onto to creating veggie black bean burgers thanks to recipes from the Buddhist chef and home made red potato and sweet potato baked fries. Also made tasty general taos tofu with broccoli and bell peppers. Concluded the week with homemade enchiladas with black beans, carrots, onions, scallions, garlic etc. and simple home made guacamole. Ole! Happy eating.
