No. We max our 401k through our employers, so that money doesn’t hit our personal accounts. We then use our actual paycheck as our starting point for budgeting and other savings.

It’s easier for us to pretend that money doesn’t exist in our pay so that we keep saving it. I look at our retirement accounts annually to adjust investments, etc.

Yep I’m also doing a Roth 401 atm which makes even more sense to count it

How come? I was thinking of switching to one next yr or end of year

I’m sure people have different approaches, but to me each dollar is either saved or spent. So yes I definitely include.

I’d also say the main target savings rates, ratios, etc would normally include retirement savings in the savings $ just FYI

Got an offer at one of the MBB and in process for Accenture in their Strategy division (CEO & ES). For MBB, would be coming at a level below (PL/EM) with 1 year tenure and Accenture would be lateral (SM). Leaning towards the MBB offer as it has been my dream to get into MBB and the overall value proposition.

Is there any strong reason to prioritize Accenture Strategy over MBB in this case? Would appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.
