How about asking for recommendations, alternative for the perceived shortcoming. Usually people come up some impractical, weak tea solutions proving your point or may be a kind of walk back, lessening the impact.
I’m a woman with a female boss who hates women. My review feedback is always vicious and without merit. I tell my manager, who provides the feedback, “I’m here to hear it!” with a smile. She’s aware of the contention with my female boss. No one can do anything about it. Just listen to the BS and move on. Think bigger picture “Am I working with the right group?” “Am I working at the right firm?” Don’t get caught up in the review minutia.
Read never split the difference.
Repeat back to them what they say in an offended tone and see what they come back with. Also request proof or instances where accused shortfalls are alleged… look up gas lighting and manipulations lots of managers might do this ‘knee capping’ to make you feel insecure and happy to have a job at all let alone expect any pay increase.
Go somewhere that they take the chance to build you up and celebrate your differences, not limit you because of them.

Of course! I'll accept any constructive criticism because it'll be for my own good. It would be a different matter if the comments were unjustified or baseless. I'd definitely raise my concern or comment in a professional manner.
