Wow...if you actually don’t like the nature of the industry, it’s a much bigger problem. Maybe do some research and see if there are companies still in the industry but have completely different culture?

To be honest there have been no advancement opportunities at my Employer. I have been in Support for 15 years and would love to work in a different Tech department but am always told the same thing “you aren’t a good fit.” I am just mentally exhausted giving so much passion but with nothing positive coming from it.

Probably should try another company and see if you can find one that fits what you wanna do. However, there ARE skillset and interest combination that conflicts each other. That would make finding a perfect fit a little difficult. If that’s the case, you probably want to either try a smaller company, so you can wear different hats, or try out another career but doing less some of the work you might enjoy in your current job.

How long should I give new medication a chance to work and what should I feel? I was recently diagnosed. Initially, doc wanted to prescribe vyvanse, but we have to jump through hoops to get it, so we did concerta instead. I’ve been on it for five days, and I’ve felt extra anxious, sleepless, no focus, and irritable. How long do I keep at it before I could see a difference? And what should the meds make me feel?
