I do. I think finishing the process in an elegant manner is always a good way to be remembered as a nice person and a future possibility. I had once someone coming back to me after 4 months
I do, and act like they haven’t rejected me.
it’s always a good idea because you never know why they rejected you and if you like the place, you’ll want to keep the door open. That’s how I got into advertising. Staying in touch with the person who rejected me.
Yes, to say thanks, that I understand, and that I wish them luck in finding the right fit, etc. Three sentences. Be a professional.
I’ve also used it as an opportunity to better understand how I could improve or how my qualifications could be strengthened for the next at-bat. While I’ve yet to actually hear anything specific or actionable, expressing a genuine desire for self-knowledge and self-improvement is never bad. That said it also serves as a reminder that if you reject someone who has invested time and interest getting to know your company, you should probably be prepared to have a reason why.
Never give up. Thank them for their time, tell them you’d be happy to accept the job whether they offered it or not - then show up to the office the next morning.
I generally don’t since I would have already emailed to thank them for their time
No, unless it’s a thank you for considering me type email.
I always would if you would still want to work there later down the line maybe. After being on the other side of hiring people, there are tons of reasons why you might not have gotten it that could have nothing to do with you. Also there might be another job later at the same place so never hurts to leave on a good note on your side!
I typically look up the job posting I was interviewing for and email them back and say thank you and include the job posting and ask if there is anyone I could speak to about this "other" role as I feel it's a perfect fit. One time I ended up getting the job that way because they said wow you actually are a great fit
