I think my dad is in a deep depression and I don’t know how to help. I think his general “laziness” stems from that but my family’s anger toward him for not trying to find a job or contribute at all to the household has created resentment against him so it’s a vicious cycle. He doesn’t want to help himself (probably because he is depressed) and that makes people not want to help him. Any suggestions?

Having family members/friends in customer support can be a bit irritating, they NEVER turn that voice off! Always like “Sure! Happy to help!” and you know they’re not…Whew😩
More people are jumping to social media as an effective customer service tool. Why? 1) Email support takes forever. 2) No one wants to read the help page anymore. 3) It's a hit or miss getting in contact with great sales rep
In this era, 57% of customers pefer live chat that are less likely to seem scripted. I gues humans do value having connections even if it's with their support rep.
It feels like customers treat me with a higher degree of disrespect because I have an accent, and that makes it hard for them to believe I understand what I'm saying
Are we boycotting companies that send us straight to help page when we have a problem ? We need Quality! Let's turn to better support channels.
Can I still work as a telemarketer even though I have a noticeable accent? People don't say they can't understand me but they seem relieved when they get to talk to somebody else. My boss acts like I'm not very good at the job and I think it's because some customers think I am an "outsider," for lack of a better term. I just want to fit in.

Here's mine: I was working in the call center and I was explaining to a customer that he had used up all his credit and that's why he couldn't surf the Internet on his phone. He started to insult me for 8 minutes and, due to company policies, I could not hang up until he had finished.
Working from home in customer support provides so much flexibility as a stay at home mom. I can take care of the home, my babies and work without feeling guilty ….talk about mutli-tasking!
I hate when customers say “I understand it’s not your fault” and then continue to be rude anyway.
Grabbing a coffee everyday with your customer support friend makes you say verbiage like “just one moment”

What they don't see:
- We've been working non-stop for the past 6 hours or more.
- We're usually ridiculously underpaid.
- You're blaming us for something we have no control over.

Wages in the industry are barely budging while inflation is rapid :/ I’m getting concerned. Has anyone gotten a raise lately?
