[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

Moving back to my hometown would kill the magical and the homely nostalgia vibe I get every time I go back home.
ZS1 yea, I can’t express in words the wonderful feeling of driving through my hometown around the winter holidays. Listening to the old songs I liked, smelling the burning firewood, and reminiscing on old times. Especially when all my old friends also come home around the same time and we all hit up the same old bars.
I just did, after being away 7 years. It’s nice having that foundation of old friends and family to be around

I wish I could. I wanted to—I was hoping the firm would let us live anywhere, seeing as how we rarely have to be at the office, and I’d be in the same state, just 4.5 hours away. But nah, I have to live hours away from my family in a place where I have no connections so I can work from home. Wonderful.

I just did 6months ago! Its great to have family and friends within 30mins away from you. Unfortunately my skills are not relevant for the local market, so not sure how long it will last.
This is one of my big concerns. That and since it’s a LCOL market most of the potential jobs I’d be a fit for / would like would be tough to get even at my current pay, and I’m not in a HCOL city right now by any stretch.
I tried it and swiftly moved away. I outgrew a lot of what I thought I wanted there and found visiting to be far better.
