Not the exact right bowl, but looking for advice/referrals for a close family friend trying to break into ESG/climate change/sustainability consulting.
They have ~7 YOE in finance (mostly junk debt, some S&T) and 20 YOE in development banking at an IGO (think World Bank, doing everything from public debt offerings, infrastructure, etc. all w heavy ESG/compliance requirements).

I usually have the opposite feeling - I look at the deck I made and i just wonder how did I manage to put it together in such a short span of time. Then I realize the gruelling hours I work and it makes sense
Taking pride in your work is a good thing, but as a matter of self-preservation, know how to set boundaries. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for perpetual dissatisfaction. Did the client sign off? If so, then your job is done. Take it and run.

No I usually look at my perfection and how many times it is cited as the ultimate policy, and it kills me that my good name is nowhere on it😢😢
I don’t feel bad about it. I did the best I could at the time. And I’ll likely never see or talk to that client again so who really cares? 🤷🏾♀️
I might cringe a little but usually proud for doing the best I could at the time and pulling through 🤷♀️
