Joined back in February. Would I still get a performance bonus? Pay bump? Not expecting promotion but not sure about other two...
I have five years big 4. Always did well bonus and promotion wise. In between I left for IT sales to make more money but being in Boston I would of had to move for better opportunities. Now I’m back in consulting and miss the freedom of sales. Anyone in my position? I felt this way before quarantine too. The SM on my project almost got divorced so she worked so much, then she said I realized it just my life. It’s just too unhealthy. Thoughts bowlers?
Turned 26. Which also means it's been 4 years since I finished undergrad. Buddy just finished dental school over that 4 years. Starting salary 180k. 9-5. I picked the wrong career.
Anyone have experience leaving NYC for a ‘3rd tier’ market (v small city). I’m debating a move —it would mean a 50% salary cut but hopefully a better balance and a happier me! Thoughts?
What would be the average salary for a second year senior tax associate in the southeast in a middle market firm as compared to B4?
Do we have non-fronts here? What's your comp? I'm an A2 with starting at.....hah jokes on you monkey
Would it be a bad decision to jump ship 5 months prior to the Consultant > Senior Consultant promotion? Looking for long term view. Potential ~35% comp bump going to industry, but not a ‘senior’ title
Assuming you're happy where you are, and an exciting opportunity presented itself (pre ipo pharmaceutical company). What % raise in salary is acceptable for mid senior level in Socal?
Whoever decided they should be called "dreamers" deserves a nice bonus. Seriously, great branding.
What salary can you expect after exiting from an MBB after 2 years no MBA? Looking at strategy/operation roles in NYC and SF at FAANG and other tech companies (e.g. Airbnb, Uber, Lyft)
Anyone know anything about Censeo? Talked to a recruiter today and the salary is good but it’s tiny
Got a freelance gig but I’m new to the freelance world and client is asking for an hourly rate. It’ll be about 20 hours or so and doing design/direction work. What would be a good rate?
Seeing a lot about low morale at PwC and, not all, but a lot of the gripe has been comp/cohort/promo related. Do people really feel like PwC pay isn't competitive in the market?
Are there actually substantial differences on MBB (and even ATKearney) cultures and ways of working?
They must have really overcorrected on the layoffs. I've got people contacting me from way out in the fringes of my network weeks before rolling off during the holiday season. Manager shortage?
Let’s agree to not visit any old people until this blows over....send your Grandma a Facebook Portal. And if you live with any immunocompromised person (“live” not “know”) it’s time to WFH.
Is 135k plus 10-15% bonus considered low, med, high comp? NY, 5 YOE healthcare consulting w masters
Going back to work in a couple weeks after being on maternity leave. Already sad and upset at the thought of leaving my little one. How do you cope those first days and weeks back to work?
When you find out 2 managers are fighting for promotion..... and there can only be one. Let the petty games begin! 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
I'm going to take my shot asking this question: Anyone separate from their husband for years, but delayed the divorce intentionally for financial reasons? (health insurance for kids, pensions, stock.)
I've been speaking with many small CPA firm owners with a similar refrain. Here's one: small (under 10 employees) practice in peaceful NC town needs a Tax Manager. Great place to raise a family.
Any consultants with H1B? It takes min 3 weeks for the firm to file the LCA amendment to add new worksites. But projects always come with short notice. Any suggestions?
Coming back from PTO and filled with dread and anxiety over returning to work, firm initiatives, and networking. I can't do this anymore 😭
If my spouse wants to transfer from F1 to H4, can I reach out to EY immigration team to help or is this something I must contact an outside attorney about.
I feel like some SMs are brainwashed by the client. One I am working with doesn't like people leaving or wfh or going to the home office. Dude I gotta go catch up on my PD work.
If you get laid off, what’s the protocol on giving back your laptop?. Do you give it back right away? Are you allowed to go to the office and get your stuff in your desk?
SF Fish - where do you live? Interviewing at a company in the area and really can't get over the cost of housing. Buying is even more depressing. $500k gets you a studio :(
