Feeling a deep void in close human connection after letting go a relationship that was lacking a future (I was interested in something more, he was unsure). Can’t stop thinking of reaching out and need strength to just stay with the loneliness and have hope for the better times. Would appreciate support. It’s been 2 weeks but I feel bouts of extreme sadness and desire to have someone to share my life and days with.

I know this is a different kind of heartbreak, but I just had to make the difficult decision to go no contact with my parents after years of toxic and narcissistic behavior. It’s a weird feeling of immense sadness but also freedom. Can anyone else relate?

Officially the last single person in my family. Feels so good and people are so nosy about everyone’s personal life that I skipped the big celebrations.

Went to parents home this weekend. Poked around the basement where my dad keeps his electronic crap. Found a VHS machine with 1) HDMI out, and 2) "1080i upsampling".

I got one of those Doppler things and now I’m all freaked out because I used it once and it was great heard the heartbeat and it was amazing. A week goes by and I tried for a second time today and can’t for the life of me find this little guy and now I’m all paranoid. I used the Doppler for 20 minutes total this evening - approx. 5-7 minutes each time trying to find him. I also just learned that using Dopplers longer than a few minutes or often can be bad for baby so stopped- very concerned 😔

Anyone is like me? I'm super annoyed when people tell me what to do. Like when my mom tells me not to have ice cream during menstrual cycle, my parents in law tried to teach me what kind of baby clothes to buy, it just triggers my anger so easily. Any solutions???

On a big zoom call this morning. Child walks in fully naked and COVERED in marker. I mean face, legs, hands, everything. Even better, I didn't hear them right away and a coworker had to let me know they were there via chat. Turned around and my kid looked like a soldier in army paint. Not my finest parenting moment since I just pushed them out into the hallway and continued with my meeting. Sharing the shame here

I have a question would love a honest answer I am ACCA student and went for a job interview. The person who was conducting interview found out I am ACCA and he was a ICAI member. Throughout the interview i felt he was looking down on me. I recently talked about this with a friend and he said generally ICAI and ICAP accounting members dont give ACCA students and important. Is this true?
