Hello Everyone! Does anyone have a connection at Netflix ! I am an author/marketing associate and truly my dream job is to work on the team that creates/produces Drive to Survive. I am a huge F1 fan! However, I am willing to start where I can and work my way there! I was laid off due to Covid and just trying to get back into the field and industry I love.
Any freelance creative teams in the Tampa area?

No, but the right partner is life-changing. Building on each other’s idea to make something that is greater than the sum of its parts. Personally, I prefer working with partners that are super collaborative and we don’t draw lines where the AD/CW roles start or stop.
Partners are needed to challenge and build upon each other. Solo ideation only goes so far. It’s hard to disagree with yourself.
Yes. Without one I’m not given opportunities on briefs
Yes. Working at shops where they don’t understand the value of a two-person team is the absolute worst.
These days (particularly in the American market) the two-person team structure had been eroded so much farther than ever before. And we wonder why work is worse than it’s ever been.
I totally agree with you on that. I have freelanced at places where they do so many weird things in terms of thr creative teams. But yeah I have seen it happen too
It makes the work day way more fun and it makes the actual work way better. I COULD do it alone, but not as well and it would be a bummer
I’m better alone
Not a requirement but certainly an asset. Depends on the partner though. Good creative partnership is like a good marriage. You bring out the best in each other. And there's a high level of empathy and trust.
Yes, the right partner can be life changing. If you think you are better of alone, you haven’t find the right partner yet.
YES
Yes
I think so.
Yes. We improve each others ideas. I hate when Im asked to come up with a bunch of scripts on my own as a freelancer.
If you don’t use teams you're missing the picture.
Depends who you work with. Some partners tend to ride on my coat tails a bit. Don't like that at all.
Definitely
Let me think abou...yup!
Yassss
I tend to work alone but when I do I usually regret not having a partner.
Yes. Important to bounce ideas off another human. Also I don’t know photoshop or ID, though I wish I did.
What to do if your agency won’t get you a partner...???
Find one yourself. I would test copy on a project manager to see if it made sense to them because my partner worked from home. If the creative made sense to someone outside of the project then it probably makes sense for the tactic.
