I am a post bar graduate and currently seeking employment. I did not graduate from a top tier school, but I did graduate in the top third of my class as a dual-degree graduate. About a week ago, a partner at a big law firm connected with me on LinkedIn. He asked if I had a job lined up. I told him no and he responded that I should let him know if there is anything his firm or he can do to help me. We have a meeting with each other in two weeks. Is this a big law opportunity?

Potentially dumb question but what is the time expectation in returning emails to opposing counsel? (Even if it’s just a “I received it and will address it later.”) I try to respond to all internal emails (or emails to clients) in an hour but not sure what the professional expectation is for opposing counsel.
