I had a final interview last Thursday and was told I would hear back Monday or early this week. I still haven’t heard anything, how long should I wait until following up with the recruiter?
Interviewing for a role at Deloitte Strategy & Ops Business Insights UK. Got a 4 hour long round 2 (video interview) with case study, presentation type rounds. What type of cases can I expect ?
Is VSA as bad as its Glassdoor reviews make it out to be? I was considering applying there, but Yikes! Those reviews tho
I haven't interviewed for a new role in several years and have my first interview tomorrow - what are some insightful questions I should ask?
Post interview process - When the recruiter mentions a base salary range based on their historical data for the position and on my years of experience and this aligns with what I see in Glassdoor too, is this essentially locked in where I can’t negotiate the base salary outside of that range? Example: Recruiter says base salary range is 85-90k, but my target is 100k base, will they only offer 90k base max and try to meet my target with sign on bonus, etc?
Hi guys. Have anybody appeared for any data engineering interview recently. I am currently 2.5 yrs experience and JD requires 3 yrs experience. I have passed my first round and next is coding round. Do you ever come in to an interview with work done for the client you’d be working on? Beyond initial research? Does this show initiative or usually backfire for you as presumptuous?
Looking to return to Big 4 as a consultant now that I have some experience; however, I’m not sure if the reason I’m not getting any interviews is because of covid or what’s on my resume/lack thereof. Has anyone gotten hired at Big 4 during this time and have any help or insight for me? Thanks!
If you’ve gotten an offer from one shop while you’re in the 2nd round of interviews with a few others, is there a ‘best practices’ for being diplomatic whilst using it to your advantage?
What what if I bomb one interview out of 4 on super day McKinsey & Company? Instant reject?
When applying to jobs, should I list my Big4 company name in acronyms or in full? Aiming for tech industry
Ever interviewed for a job you don't intend to take even if offered? Should I go, even if my interest is more curiosity and I'm 99% sure they can't make an offer that would be more attractive to me than what I already have?
Anyone have experience interviewing for corporate strategy at Starbucks? Currently in the final round. I’ve been in consulting for 1.5 years now, I’m a little burned out and wondering if I should take the industry exit route or stay and continue to try to get into PE/VC.
I just started a new job a couple of months ago and it’s not a great fit. The health of the business wasn’t what they had led me to believe during interviews. I’m looking for new opps but how...
Any recommendations on resources/ guides to use on how to become a better interviewee, and how to prepare the right way for interviews? I have a couple of entry level consultant interviews coming up.
I have an interview today with LRW for a CX Consultant. What should I expect during an initial interview? Also any general vibes on LRW would be great!
My brother is applying to medical school, and apparently being AAPI/Asian/Indian yields one being bucketed into an over represented minority, so would need far more merit than means and medians, due to the high performance of the bucket. I started wondering, throughout my brother and my life, if being Asian had ever had any help- in my childhood, my Asian friends were cut throat with everything- volunteering ops or internship/family help. Brother made a comment that he wished he wasn’t Asian
Would anyone at McKinsey be willing to help me prepare for the PEI portion of interviewing? Have my super day coming up and just want to fine tune my understanding of the format. Thank you!
Posting on behalf of a friend - My friend has an interview for Senior Data Analyst (Financial Services) with EY. There are 2 back to back interviews for half an hour each, one with a manager and another with a senior manager. Any preparation tips?
A friend opened up to me about her extra marital interest/dilemma surrounding that interest. She realizes her pattern due to some underlying issue she needs to resolve and is seeing a therapist, yet whenever we talk she goes into details related to this guy and about her dilemma. I have listened to her for 3 months and weighed in where I could, and I care about HER and her mental health. But if ask about her mental health she goes into stories about this dude. How do I establish my boundary? 🙏🏼
MBB in Singapore, are you still recruiting foreigners that need an EP or is it only Singaporeans/PR now and for the foreseeable future? Would be interested to apply as an experienced hire.
Received an offer with 27% increase on current salary. Anyone know of Accenture would entertain matching that?
Was approached by a SVP and hiring manager of another IB shop. We talked, went great, he texted comp range etc. sent me a resume template to use, filled it and sent. He was waiting to hear back from MD, MD got sick. He took resume to HR actual and said I’d hear from them. Haven’t heard anything week or so later. Haven’t texted VP much as I don’t want to be creeper but really interested. Not sure how to engage at this point. At some level it seemed like a home run.
If you’re going to shout “shut the fuck up” to your staff during a conference call make sure your skype is on mute first. Amateur hour out here.
My wife and I are saving $6500 a month after all expenses. Is it safe to take on a monthly mortgage of $3650? After insurance, taxes and PMI, the total due per month is around $4850 pre-utilities.
Just found out I have to travel tomorrow and stay for the rest of the week... No room availability online at the only nearby Marriott or SPG. Should I do Hampton or Best Western?
How do you tell a recruiter that you are no longer interested in interviewing for a position without burning bridges? I spoke with HR and then the direct manager and realized it may not be a good fit for me. What do I say?
Honest question: when you see a job listing like so, is your reaction... A. Good for them insisting on BIPOC; this industry needs more diversity & hiring the same middle aged white folks doesn't cut it anymore. or B. YES, every agency/brand should champion diversity but is it fair, right or even "legal" to overtly dissuade white people from applying? Can't they just "hire the best candidate" regardless of race/gender/etc? I get B but I'm team A because the 2nd ? in B hasn't exactly..worked.
Got feedback I’m waiting to be told what to do on my project by my manager. I try to take initiative but I often DONT know what to do since consulting is new for me, and I need guidance. Help please!

I'm currently a TVC at Google and was contacted by a Google recruiter who didn't realize that I'm currently working at Google. When I told her about my current role, she said she's not sure if I can be considered and has been non responsive on my follow ups. What exactly is the policy in this case? Would my applications for a FTE role be simply not considered too?
Hi. I have a Panel Interview for a Salesforce product company. I need to do a presentation to the customer on the Product and how it will solve their problems. I need to do an elevator pitch for 3 slides about the company and then address the customer problems with the features of the product. Tips for recovering from a bad interview at an awesome company? 😣 I already got the news that they’re not moving forward, yet can’t stop obsessing over the mistakes that most likely cost me an offer.
First year in consulting- Close to chargeability target but might receive a below average rating due to most recent project. Is this enough to let someone go based on your experience?
