Do you follow your coworkers on social media?

No. It's better that way.
Unless someone is a close colleague who you vibe with.

Not at all, we're not friends

Yes, some of us follow each other and it’s not a big deal because we’re all work friends (and some are friends even after work). My director follows me, and I don’t mind at all. I’m good at my job and whatever fun stuff I do outside of work doesn’t change their opinion of me professionally.

Nope. I dont even use my real name on social media. We’re coworkers not friends. Leave me alone.

Some, but only colleagues who became true friends and I’d hang out with outside of work (and don’t really work with anymore).

I followed my client’s dog’s IG though

That lady with the work spouse probably does 👀

No more than 3-4 that I've become really close with, and we don't work together anymore.

I have a stalker account I use.

Def not.

Outside of LinkedIn, absolutely not.

Noooooooope, protect yourself at all costs lol

Yes, but I rarely post anything on social media. It feels kind of awkward if one sends you an invite and you decline.

Yes but I don’t really post to social much. (Mainly an IG story once in a while about sports or Vacay, nothing crazy) I can imagine if I did put a lot out there tho then I wouldn’t either.

If they follow me, I’ll follow back

Guidance sought for Amazon. recruiter reached out asking for resume. (I’m a Supply Chain consultant). Should I provide a consulting resume that lists key projects or a different style resume? Help pls

The best thing a person can have is a sense of humor. Nothing like being able to laugh at the dumb shit you and your SO do/see on a daily basis 😊

I’ve found it difficult connecting with people over the last few years. I don’t want to travel all the time, but wouldn’t mind once a month to collaborate, hang out, and make connections. Sometimes I just want to travel to a city to hang out and do new things.

Google sourcer reached out . We set up a call with a recruiter in the gtech department. It’s not clear what the opportunity is. What should I expect from this first contact with the recruiter?

I feel like people in our profession fall into one of two camps regarding ethics.

First, you have those that take our profession too seriously and always insist on doing things in the most ethical way possible and sit on their ethical high horse for every single situation. This person is annoying.

Second, you have the people who think ethics are a waste of time and who live by the creed, it's not cheating if you don't get caught.

There isn't any in-between. Personally, I say myob

Started a new gig (not google) at a highly technical company (distributed systems, large data volume, high-throughput) and the culture is very much ‘let’s build this.’ Since we’re providing managed service there’s several places where COTS will do a better job and reduce time to market imo. How do I broach this? Start with the Eng leadership? Start with the Product leadership?

When studying for the 7 did you actually read the whole book cover to cover? Thinking about just diving in with practice tests and reviewing answers. Using Kaplan.
