Planning to move back to our hometown before the baby is due which would make me about 6-7 months (move in April, due date is early July). Is it worth it to try and find a new job the last couple months of pregnancy or should I use that time to settle in to our new place before baby arrives? I just feel bad that my hubby will have to be the only provider for that long of a period. I am an RN.

16 weeks and so worried all of the stress I’m under is going to hurt the baby. Between work, my own scary (non-pregnancy) health stuff, the pandemic, my mom (who is a widow and lives alone, basically isolated by choice due to covid) is having health issues, and pressures to keep billable hours up, I’ve been having complete breakdowns. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.

Best self-care tips for dealing with loneliness/sadness this time of year? This is my first Christmas without my mom and it just feels like nothing will ever be the same again 😭. If you’ve lost a parent can you give me advice on getting through the holidays? Being a parentalish figure to my students is both healing and heartbreaking.

When you've just learned you are pregnant and you don't have your first appointment until 3 weeks from now (and you don't want to tell anyone yet), how do you figure out what you can and cannot do safely (other than searching on Google which yields conflicting results). Just as an example, I practice hot yoga all the time - can I keep going? I think that would be best answered by my doctor but that isn't an option at the moment. Any advice is really helpful!

Hello... has anyone had a foreign parent company issue US employees the contract of employment of that jurisdiction (I'm my vase Ireland)... I've just started and no HR before me so they issued the wrong things. They're very clear Irish contracts of employment with reference to Irish legislation in them, but wondering how much of a mess this is? Only issued to 8 employees total.

Been with Deloitte for about a year as a consultant and currently interviewing for a Business Integrity role at Meta. From what I understand, the business integrity role is an internal consulting role for them. I’d like to not have billable hours anymore and more of a WLB but not sure if there any key differences between the two besides that. There is a pay increase but not really concerned about that. I have an opportunity to take a Senior role at a firm just smaller than Big 4 from a regional firm. This will be my 3rd job change in 6 years. So changing firms roughly every 2 years. The thing is… I am consistently getting huge pay increases. First change I went up 17%, the second was 30% if you just look at base or 16% if you include annual bonus. I am yet again looking at a 12% increase. But fear staying a Senior forever if this keeps up, what are thoughts on job hopping like this?

Hi all! I’m new! I started the year off planning to save for a home for myself, then rates skyrocketed. So we’re holding off. Fast forward to the final quarter of the year and we were presented with the idea of a residential assisted living facility. The problem there is we’d still need to acquire property in order to run one. The only difference is the RAL would be a business and is already registered as such.
