Heading into busy season like
New to Fishbowl?

You stay home and rest.
If you have a fever, don’t bring that around others and spread it please
Just make sure people know you sick, and if they put that against you, that looks bad on them. YOLO. Take care of yourself this busy season, cuz no one else will.
Work from home. Silly question, no way in heck would I want to risk the health of my entire team during crunch time or have someone's health on the line due to fever. Sleep, rest, let your senior and resource management know if you'll be incapacitated for longer than a day or two.
If you go into the office and get everyone else sick, they will hate you forever. Stay home.
Stay home! I have never forgotten the coworker that came to work with a 102 fever and didn't go home - she spread the germs, I got sick a few days later and developed pneumonia and was 32 weeks pregnant and spent a week in the hospital. I almost had to deliver early. My point is, spreading your germs could potentially have serious effects on others. Stay home and feel better!
Understand . You have a fever. Rest ..most important for you but also you don't want to get others sick.
100% stay home and rest. If it’s serious, see a Dr ASAP and get on antibiotics/steroids to speed up the recovery process. Don’t come back until you’re fever free
In regard to someone else on team wfh because they’re sick, i've only ever experienced other team members feeling sorry that the sick person still has to work so many hours despite their illness
I was so sick once that I left work early one Tuesday afternoon and slept for 4 days straight and came back to work on the following Monday. We had a small client deadline to meet and some people had to cover for me. Even though they knew I was sick, I still got unnecessary comments later about how they had to “cover for me”. People are going to have opinions if you come to work sick or stay at home for what people think is nothing. Do what you want and as long as you do your work it shouldn’t matter.
I had minor injury last week and worked from home one day. Now it’s the fever. Just afraid it would look way bad on me.
Thank you everyone for your input!
Stay home and email your eng team to let them know.
Definitely stay home but also communicate whether or not you’ll realistically get done any list they give you. As long as you stay in communication with them with status updates and get work done then they shouldn’t get upset. Or if you’re too ill to work and just need time to recoup, let them know.
