“Reinforce what God left in and don’t worry so much about what she left out” — so in other words work on developing the skills you are good at and enjoy....for the “flaws”, well do what you can, but don’t dwell...they are usually not too adjustable, and likely they are perceived by you as “flaws” because you probably don’t enjoy trying to fix them. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t endeavour to learn and improve, but pick your battles! (I know you talked about physical flaws - teeth etc....but really, likely you are more beautiful than you realize and sometimes the small quirks give someone character!)
It sounds like you don't value all the great things about yourself. There's always so much more good than bad. We all feel like we have things to work on, that's just life. It's also always a losing game to focus on physical traits - there's always going to be someone better looking than you and someone you're better looking than. Just be happy with what you have. If you do that then it'll allow other people to do the same.
Kinda but not as I get older and more confident in my self. More self care and love now.....
I got my teeth fixed in hs and have never been happier.
Been super insecure about my weight since forever. Thankfully I started working out and found a fitness class that has helped my body get in the best toned shape ever and I’m progressing! 😁goals- flat stomach with abs
I’m insecure about my boobs- bunch of weight fluctuations and genetics has left them saggy and huge. Eventually when I have more $$$ I’d like a boob job
I also realized I dislike my nose but I don’t think I would touch that or do work
my point being that some things you can change without money. Money doesn’t have to buy the best fitness program or diet plan. But I think it’s important to also be real. All those beauty fixes seeem to me like coverups for deeper underlining issues. I only say this because I’ve tried almost every beauty trend in high school and realized those fake eyelashes and acrylics nails didn’t make me any happier or genuinely confident.
I now work on being a better person and loving myself more for who I am and what I can do.
Life is to short to focus on flaws! Be thankful you have eyes to see, ears to hear, limbs to move and a heart that beats. The other stuff is important, but if you maintain your body- with good food, meditation and great skincare routine :) you'll be fine!!!! I'm oversimplifying, but really sometimes it is that simple. I say this having thought about all the little things I wanted to change about myself, but after knowing people who came down with serious illness or died- I'm happy to be healthy!!! Happy New Year!
