I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

Greed
Extraordinarily high risk tolerance (or complete lack of awareness of risk) and infatuation with the technology seem to be the main drivers. I can understand putting some playing around money into just for sh*ts and giggles but not anything more than I would gamble in Vegas.
Yes but what seems to be interesting is that just about everyone says “i believe in blockchain technology” when in reality one of the underlying concepts of a public blockchain is utilizing cryptocurrencies to validate transactions on the public ledger
90% of people claim to be above-average drivers. We all think we are devilishly clever investors too. Surely we can do better than those boring old investment choices, right? My cousin’s girlfriend’s uncle’s yard guy made a killing so I will too
Contrary to the original question, even at this point hardly anyone actually invests in cryptos as the market cap is only 200 billion or 0.2% of US GDP. People say “it’s a bubble and everyone will get screwed” when hardly anyone actually invests in them in the first place
Because wild speculation.
It can be a bubble without having the mainstream market invest in it... like it's a "currency" made out of thin air that people are buying with money that can be used to pay taxes. It's like baseball cards, minus the collectibility element.
I didn’t realize you can send baseball cards across the world in the matter of minutes to pay for transactions
It’s like the USD, without the pictures of dead white men
Except you can’t print more bitcoin when the government feels like bailing people out
LOL P2, it’s nothing like that.
Thanks P1. You so get me
Lost 20k...foolish investment
Herd mentality, people are lazy and jump on something without doing their own research hoping that the ones hyping it know what they are talking about
