Yes, I usually tip 10% on to go but have been doing more while in quarantine

Agree with this
Yes. I’ve been doing 20 - 25%. That staff is risking their health to go to work and enable me and others to get food. Their income is likely far reduced due to less shifts + no in-house dining + less volume. It’s the least I can do.
Pro
Yes, tips go to more than wait staff. And nowadays I’m tipping larger than average.
No
Yes. My local sushi place keeps trying to tell me I gave them too much $ 🤣 (I’m also paying cash for places that accept it still to help them avoid credit card fees.)
Now I do but before the panny, I didn’t.

Yes, not as much as I do for a full service but to-go orders still require an effort from the staff that is making less than minimum wage without tips.

You should Always tip

So like when you guys go to pick up your orders, do y’all think the food made itself and packed itself into to go containers from your online order or call? There was a time that I too didn’t tip on to go orders but that tip is more than a “good job here’s a little extra for you, no thanks required”, it’s actually the livelihood of people in the food services industry who could be making <$3/hr. It’s also why I support if restaurants were to move into an all-in pricing where the food is more expensive but we don’t have to tip and the staff is paid appropriately.

C1 perhaps you’ve never worked in the restaurant industry in a state where workers can legally be paid less than minimum wage - this is the bit to focus on, not the scenarios you are listing out above.

Yes, since I assume the staff had their hours cut and I know restaurants run on tight profit margins already so the owners are hurting as well. I can afford to, so I don't mind giving 20%+ on it.
Nope
If it’s a large order yes. If it’s like one entree then I’m only picking it up myself to avoid delivery costs so usually no (but I almost always get delivery and tip on that)
100%
Yes at the very least 10% now I do 20-30% Bc they don’t have dine in customers anymore
Minimally before - but 20-30% now.

No. I might throw in an extra dollar or so. But generally I don't order takeout from places that aren't set up to really cater for takeout.
If you're asking specific to COVID, I haven't ordered takeout in 2+ months
