Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?

We're WFH for sure through May, but it sounds likely that we won't be back until mid-July. Though truly it all depends on the science. Grateful that my agency is being very conservative (in the safe way, not the political way) and thoughtful about returning to the office.
So far, it sounds like we won’t be back in the office before July.
Will depend on local health recommendations and when we go back it will be in a very phased approach with employee safety at the forefront.
It depends on the region, doesn't it? We are planning phased returns starting with "essential workers". But my company has a CRO side where people need to go into clinical trial sites for their work. My assumption is June or later for others. Also thinking that some smaller offices may close permanently to facilitate wfh and reduce overhead.
Post summer probs to be back in office
I’m hearing July soonest but if we have another wave of Covid this fall, will be out a couple months.
Heard NYT and Forbes are back in September soonest
Would expect late June/July for us, with no pressure if you prefer to keep working from home.
One of my clients in Texas (O&G) brought all 2K+ staff back this week. They started going back in phases at the beginning of the month. They switch off days, and there’s a whole process in place when people arrive (temp checks, elevator capacity rules, etc.) Doesn’t sound worth the hassle to me, honestly.
