Yeah - I let myself get senior and now I can’t find exits that pay well enough. I’m going to wake up one day and accidentally become a partner.
How much do you make S&?
Every year during the Christmas break I create my goals for next year and keep a running list so that I know what to consider. List includes everything, from professional to reading goals to being more proactive about staying in touch with friends who don’t live in my same city/country.
I review and update every couple weeks, more or less. I try to put process-oriented goals for bigger things (eg. call at least 1 friend per weekend instead of texting). I feel like a key thing to accomplish goals or move towards them is clearly defining what they mean. Want to retire in 10 years? Cool. How much $$$ do you have to save and where are you putting it?
FIRE. I am so tired of pretending to care about my job and wasting the early part of my life creating PowerPoints. My goals have nothing to do with a career, I only do this because I have no other choice. The sooner I can retire and focus on the things I care about, the happier I will be.

Yea, I have a lot of goals. The reason I probably don’t feel like it’s a grind day to day is because I’m constantly aware of what lead me to this point and why I’m doing what I’m doing.
Only goal is to retire, which seems pretty pointless since any number of health problems can erode it. I wish I could just find out if my actions allow me to succeed because otherwise I'm just a squirrel scavenging nuts without larger purpose.
@pwc 1 any good resources or approaches you want to share re life strategy?
