Do you have lunch in your office or usually go to a trusted nearby restaurant? Personally I find eating at my desk a little gross.

I save money and eat healthier by meal prepping and eating at my desk. I clean the keyboard and desk down frequently and make sure nothing is on the floor. It also makes lunch out of the office a special treat that I enjoy more, and I enjoy going home an hour earlier (or billing an hour more) than my coworkers who eat out every day. If I ever need a break from the office, I take a walk or grab coffee.

I rarely eat at my desk unless I am under a big deadline that day.

I find the need to leave the office for my lunch hour to keep my mind fresh and to manage my stress. I walk several blocks to lunch, which is an easy opportunity for physical activity. If I can find a lunch buddy that day, it's a bonus. Socialization is very important to building good relationships with your peers and supervisors.

Eating out is not cheap, but for a stressful career where burnout is frequent, eating out can provide benefits other than satisfying hunger.

That’s great. Not all firms do.

Usually at my desk.

I inhale food at my desk most days. I am never productive if I eat lunch somewhere else.

This popped up as I was inhaling food at my desk. 😂 I eat at my desk almost every day. Probably only go out to eat a handful of times a year. I usually try to time my pumping sessions with lunch so I don’t lose too much time on either one, and get back to work. I like to save the time so I can leave to workout earlier and then pick my kids up for a normal dinner time.

I also eat at my desk and work and use my lunch break to go for a walk.

It’s really depends on the day, and if I have clients coming in within an hour of lunch time, I try to not have my office smell like food when I meet people.

Why are you adverse to eating at your desk?

Understand the crumb-keyboard issue, but that can be avoided. It’s good to get up every hour and move. I developed a hip flexor issue once due to being too sedentary.

I eat in our breakroom. I can be in and out if I'm busy or I can take a little longer on days when things are slower. On really slow days I go outside for a walk or go out to lunch. But I save so much money by bringing my own lunch on most days.

I buy lunch and eat in my office, especially in winter. It’s just more comfortable. I then go for a walk. My office is always super clean:))

I go out to lunch every day but I work at a small firm with no billable hour requirement! God save me when I get a billable hour requirement 😭😂

Same. Our workload has significantly increased in the past month and I have a feeling it’s about to get much worse though. I usually go home for lunch so I can check on my dogs and just get out of the office for a bit, but I am probably about to start bringing my lunch instead.

I have a mini fridge that I try to keep stocked with easy healthy foods.

I need a mini fridge

I eat in the office and we all get together to eat once a month. The attorney eat together once a week. Only go out if it is an event. I would rather leave on time
