Starting a new job as an immigration attorney with 4 years of experience at nonprofits doing USCIS filings under my belt but I’m making $75k at a firm with 3 partners, another associate, and about a dozen support staff. I have interviews coming up at BD in Maryland and, coming from the hospital world, I have no clue what salary to ask for. The position is a scientist/quality role for microbiology research and development. For context, I have 4 years of experience in a hospital blood bank and am a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist. I was thinking in the 65-70k range, but the recruiter made it seem like that was easily attainable so I’m worried I’m asking too low. Would 75-80k be do-able?

I just noticed I can see my spine when I bend over. I’m well within normal weight (115-120ish; F; 30; 5’3”) Is this normal?

He started on and off with recovery always asking my help to try 30 days sober which I do to support but he consistently fail and avoids AA. I have been doing Al-Anon and it’s very helpful.
