Why do i feel like I'm the least liked person in my group by the managers.
I work so hard, almost on the top of the group every time. I have got my team recognition by my work . Still for no reason people justly ignore me n my work. Not when i do even s sought mistake though. They avoid appreciating me as much as they can. This is literally depressing .

I found out my manager for the last five months was never planning to stick around for long and his manager knew it and was arranging an internal transfer for him. I did not know this and now my own manager’s lack of interest in the group’s projects makes complete sense to me. It burns me a lot to realize that many times when he and I went into a group presentation and I found he had not done 100% of his homework, it was because he wasn’t as invested. Feeling used now. Unsure what to do.

I had a divorce mediation last week. The client wasn’t thrilled with the results (is anyone after mediation?) but we left with the two things she wanted: the house and her pension. She thanked me. My office sent the bill a few days later, and client wrote my boss a very long, angry email claiming I gave her incompetent representation. My boss backed me 100%, but I haven’t been practicing very long, so it really stung. Anyone have advice on dealing with self doubt in these situations?

Do you have small talks with your manager and directs? Feel like an as*hole for not liking it. My boss likes to start our 1 on 1s with topics around family, trip plans, hobbies, and other small talks. I don’t care how his weekend was. Or his baby. And personally I don’t like sharing much about my family or personal life so the small talks thing is very annoying to me. He’s super nice and I like him a lot but I just don’t feel like we should try hard to get to know each other via small talks.

I am 28F coming to 29 soon, just got promoted to Senior associates. Partner is 32. I want to dedicate times for growing my career for few more years but my parents, especially my mom been pressing for kids. What does "unlimited" PTO really mean? Accepted an in-house position. What's an acceptable amount of vacation time to take per year? (I'm coming from private practice where I could take vacation whenever I wanted as long as I hit my billables). Generally, I take two 1.5 week vacations a year and a smattering of long weekends (like a Friday or Monday off here and there). Obviously will not take that much time in the first year of a new job, but hope to get back to it. Reasonable?

I resigned from my current org on 28th Sep and it got accepted on 29th Sep and I got salary for September as on 30th Sep.
I am supposed to serve a notice period of 2 month out of which october has passed and I haven't received October salary yet. When I questioned they HR said that salary for the month of resignation will be paid (which was September as per them) and for remaining period it will be withheld an shall be paid with FnF.
