Do you have to pay taxes if you do a backdoor Roth IRA? Can I call up a Schwab advisor to guide me through the process?

If you have traditional Ira balances you will pay some tax. If not, you need a traditional Ira and a Roth IRA. You contribute to our traditional and when it settles you convert. Are you able to deduct traditional or can you contribute directly to Roth?

like

I use Schwab

Really easy.

Open a traditional and Roth account at same brokerage.

If your traditional IRA account is 0, contribute 6000 there, wait a few days, then convert to Roth. No taxes, just make sure not to deduct your traditional contributions on taxes.

Hi! Question. How does your company handle the communication between customers and solution engineers during integration? Do you use Slack, Jira, etc? We are using Slack but some customers won’t use Slack so then it’s bleeding over to other forms of communication that are less ideal. I’m starting to wonder if we would be better off doing Jira tickets. 🙃

I work part-time as a freelance designer in a marketing agency and recently asked my boss for more hours. He said he'll help me with more projects but all he's done is assign more work to me without extending my hours, and he said he's not willing to pay me overtime. Now I'm scared to lower my workload because he will just say I am lazy and don't want to work. How do I get out of this?

Hi,
Need some advice. My pet had been eating his kebble food on a consistent basis. Then I introduced a bit of raw chicken into his kebble and loved having it even more. But now I'm realizing that if I don't add chicken, he just doesn't eat his regular kebble food. What should I do? (Don't want to feed chicken every day)

Looking at houses around $800k. Just got introduced to the idea of a jumbo loan…. I have about $125,000 in equity in my current house, which will probably be closer to $100k by the time closing is done. My local lender is requiring 20% down on a jumbo loan, which I don’t have. My first question is—does anyone know of a lender who doesn’t require 20% on a jumbo? Second, I have about $100k equity in a rental property but lender requires 40% down on investment properties for a HELOC. Help!

Hi strangers, tell me what to do with my money 🤠

I’m 22 years old still living with my parents with minimal expenses. I make $65k, maxed out my 401k, have no debt, $30k in an HYSA, and $13k in a brokerage account. When I move out in 6 months or so, I estimate I’ll need $12k in an emergency fund. Should I put everything except that in my brokerage account? I hate that I have so much in the so called “high yield” account only making 0.45%

Probably an ignorant question, but are there any alternatives to a traditional mortgage for a $1M+ loan? I have heard jumbo loans can have lower rates depending on the person and bank. But is there anything that is closer to a bond rate loan if you have a 800+ credit score and say 30% down?
