No. Once it is paid out and I receive it, then I would.

Agree with the others. The closest I come to doing something like this is to include the severance amount to which I was entitled from my firm when I went in-house with a client. Because I quit but didn’t compete, I am entitled to severance paid out over 5 years. While it’s a conditional payment, I still count it as a note receivable because nothing would have to change for me to receive the amount I question each year. I do the same thing with the couple of hundred grand in RSU’s I have based on the same premise. Still, I recognize that both are conditional payments. If I used my net worth calculation for any purpose other than as a general number that I use to see if I’m on track for my goal retirement number, and to monitor my financial growth, I’d probably not include these amounts.
If this makes a big difference then you don’t need to worry about your “net worth.”

Lmao
In your net worth? No.... why would you? The payout is just a bonus. Conditional on how many days you have used and how many you have accrued to date each year. At least where I am, and at every other past employer, if you quit in January, you get nothing, because it has not accrued. It is not actually a guaranteed amount.

Thx

Is it even that much money? The most I would have ever had had in public accounting would have been maybe a month’s paycheck. That’s certainly nice but not really a needle mover on net worth.
I’m not on the accrual basis homie
Does it really make THAT much of a difference. And your net worth, once you have illiquid assets, becomes more an estimate than anything. I prefer to be more conservative on my net worth than aggressive so I feel the pressure to save a bit more. At our company, If it means anything to you, unrealized pto is counted as a liability. I guess you could argue that that liability is to you and thus belongs in your network calculation :)
