Do you invest in any targeted retirement plans offered by employers 401k? any downsides to this ?

I use the Vanguard 2050 target date mutual fund. Fidelity, Schwab and more providers have comparable options.

Advantage: target date funds take all the guesswork out of what you should invest in, and the work and tax issues related to portfolio balancing, leaving it in the hands of what investment professionals have picked.
Disadvantage: fees are higher than do-it-yourself options. For Vanguard, i think the fee is 0.08% vs 0.04% for their S&P 500 mutual fund.
Neutral: target date funds, like any other fund, may not match your personal risk-reward preferences.

If you don't have the knowledge to suitably evaluate the tradeoffs, or you don't want to deal with managing/rebranding your own portfolio, it is a good option.

By targeted I am assuming you mean target date funds? If they are low expense funds I think they are fine options for those that don’t want to balance themselves or don’t know how to. If they are not low cost target date funds, I would pass depending on what other options you have in your 401k

I don't. I prefer to control my own allocations

Newer to the game compared to many of you, trying to decide if splitting 401k contribution between traditional and Roth is worth it.
Let’s assume I am not in a higher income tax bracket at retirement (current base is 100). Is it still worth it to split contributions between Roth or traditional (6% trad to get match, rest would be Roth)? Some different proportion split? TIA.

Hi Folks, There is a job opening for @Atlassian right now which exactly suits my experience and skillset. Although I'm on maternity leave right now until December 20th. I'm worried that the opportunity will be closed if I wait until December to apply. Can anyone kindly advise on what to do? Any scope that @Atlassian would even consider waiting for so long plus 60days notice period if I attended interviews now?

Ps: it's my dream company

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. From my own point of view, I don't really want to spend my time on such returns, either, even if the revenue and easy return are nice.

24, a decent amount of savings in the bank. I’m sort of interested in buying a property in the next few years.
Is this a good or bad idea? I live in Ny area, so obviously the city would probably be too expensive to buy any property. Would probably have to buy further out in westchester, Long Island, maybe connecticut or NJ. If I buy, should I be living there? Or should I rent it out until I’m ready to live there (assuming it’s a bit further from the city). Very early stages of just thinking
