Nagarro offered 18LPA. Initially I told HR for 22 but he mentioned 18 into their internal portal to their senior so after clearing all interview rounds I got 18.
When I asked the HR, he told me to accept it for now and bring the counter offer letter so they can revise offer letter.
But now they declined. Weird.

You mature in a lot of ways once you start paying your own way. That’s worth more than saving a few bucks because you don’t have any bills.

I find it so unattractive unappealing and immature. I appreciate you think you’re doing the right thing by saving money, but at tremendous cost to your relationships and development. It isn’t normal to live with your parents throughout your 20’s.
I paid off my $100k of student loan debt by living with my parents. I still live with them now while I’m trying to figure out my next move. I feel way better now that I don’t have that debt over my head. It was hard commuting the 3 hours round trip to the office but honestly is so worth it for me.
Only if I was trying to date them, otherwise I’m just envious of how much spare cash they must have laying around.

As a south Asian, I don’t understand the American culture where you look down upon people who live with their parents. Seriously, if they have a job and they are pitching in with the household chores what’s wrong? Like really, what’s the issue?

As someone who moved home in their late 20s, I actually think it’s a great financial decision and look to it favorably.
It also means that someone has a heathy relationship with their family which is a good thing.
Privacy is not a need for me, so not something I value.
Privacy is not going to help me save for investment properties or retirement.

It depends. If they are squandering the opportunity and just blowing their money and not saving, a little. But if they have a sound plan and goals, not at all.

No but I’m one of them…(25). I moved away for college for 4 years so learned how to pay my bills, etc., but then moved back home after college. The amount of money I am able to save is absolutely worth it as I’ll be in a much better position to buy a house than if I were to live on my own already. I will say though it sucks for relationships but my fiancé lives on his own so I visit him when I can (he’s in a different state).

First who gives a shit about about others think? Second many cite moving out will give you growth. You mean the thing that most college students already do. Thirdly, before you act all high and mighty and assume those who are living are not "independent", have you consider maybe it's the other way around where people are supporting their parents? So before you project your insecurities or maybe you don't get along with your parents, don't judge others if you don't know their situation.
I’m 29 and with the ongoing pandemic I’ve been staying with my parents. Managed to save most of my salary for the past 16ish months. Now I’m actually considering permanently moving back to my small hometown (~60k population) because I like being closer to family, can afford to buy a house there and kinda realized that I have nothing other than work in the big city I’m technically a resident of. To answer your question….F the haters.
I did it for a brief 3-month stint, not because I wanted to and I was living life on my terms… and even I judged tf out of me. Glad I’m outa there. Love my parents but… no… it’s just not supposed to happen that way for a reason.
