Do you know of any companies that are similar to Toptal or BrainTrust? Basically where once you get in, you don't necessarily have to go through full interview rounds for each new client? I'm not referring to the big consulting firms, but more for independents.

I have never had to be interviewed by a client. What firms do this??

I meant clients of independent consultants. I suppose that consulting firm clients interviewing the consulting firm's employees before staffing is somewhat rare, right? But when going through a staffing firm or directly, the consultant does typically have to be interviewed by the client.

Lately I’ve been trying to quit consulting and take up a less intense job for the period while my kids are very young so I don’t miss out on their early years. For now I’ve been applying to back office roles at banks to the extent where I can figure out that they are relaxed and not too intense. But I have a hard time converting any of my applications to such roles. I think my resume doesn’t make it past hr. And I have a hard time locating the hiring manager. Any tips?

I’m over the moon excited about an opportunity to work as a growth strategist at a startup. It’s client facing where I’d work as a strategy consultant for clients to grow their profits by using the startup’s product/business model. Before I accept the offer, I’m trying to think through reasonable contingencies for worst case scenario, and I’m wondering if I could jump to strategy consulting after this if it doesn’t work out for some reason. Thoughts or experiences with this?
