Yup, my friend came into ACN expecting to do the traditional management consulting work - quickly realized you had to be in strategy to do that. She left after two staff aug roles
Know 2 folks. One wanted to do software engineering; deloitte promised to let him do that and instead stuck him into staff aug. He quit a month in.
Had a guy run for the hills within months when he saw how dysfunctional the Risk practice was in a smaller city a couple of years.
The other person stayed for 7 months; was on a big state project with no chance to roll off.
Guy in my start group left after 3 or 4 months. Got a job doing what he really wanted to do. ACN was just a placeholder apparently lol
I know one who left to go to a startup in some role on the product team. Seems like a lot of fun and better opportunity for leadership and learning by doing than here but obviously way less structure
Had a few friends that quit bc they didn’t have the chops and were drowning and rolled off of their projects. Decided industry was a better route for them
D2 is right
Not many, that's usually the reason
Can you switch to strategy easily? All of the tech roles are either for experienced hires or just long term staffing projects I had no idea
Accenture 3, how did you quit?
