Do you need a CPA for a manager and above promotion I’m advisory for the top 10 firms?

So I recently got a promotion and they’re trying to start me 11¢ under what they claim the “minimum” on the job posting. I tried to send it back and they said it was their “best and final offer”. If I continue to fight it could they retract the job offer? More background in the comments

Question for you all. I’m current A2 in audit up for promotion. I’m not the biggest fan of auditing and have thought about transferring internally or externally to TAS/FDD & other accounting advisory roles. I have a general idea of what TAS/FDD does, but specifically what skill sets does TAS/FDD give you? If one was looking to learn the most about business financials, would TAS/FDD provide the same knowledge as traditional auditing?

I was told not to take off during summer & busy season if I wanted a promotion. My overall utilization was high but took a month off during non busy season. How would you approach this? I wanna quit!

I just finished my Masters at UT Arlington. I’ve been working for this firm for almost 3 years in uptown Dallas. I technically don’t have a title, obviously because I’m not license. I mainly do a lot of renderings and postproduction work along with some digital graphics for a lot of projects. Is it too soon to ask for a pay raise? Or how do I come about that?

Hp doesnot garuntee promotion. It only gives highest rating, and bonus.
Actual hp normally don't stick to a firm longer. Most of them quit due to unfair treatment.

I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. Ok so I was recently promoted to a manager, however I was told that because I was one of the senior people there that my promotion would not have a raise with it. I would see a cost of living raise in January. Anyone ever go through this? What was the outcome? Give me a raise or let me go back to what I was doing. The overall situation just killed my vibe working there. I guess I’m the stupid one for staying on the new roll with no pay increase.

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. I started a new job and at the same time entered a depressive episode coupled with an unhealthy and stressful new living situation. Hi fellow fish, what are some tips you guys can offer me to get deployed to projects? I recently transferred from audit to AAS and my deployment manager always asks me if I have experience in ABC which obviously I most likely don’t have because I come from audit. Like I know ASC 842, 606 I have done IPO audit before but I won’t say I’m the expert because I’ve only been on the other side. It’s very annoying that they won’t deploy me unless I have expertise on that area. I’m losing hope….
