I'm in clin ops and no. It can be useful if you want to be a CRA
In industry? No. In consulting, definitely not.
Will someone define CRA and CRO as used in the comments above?
Depends on the firm and role.
I am doing clinical ops work without a nursing degree
How do you enter this space?

No, but for an actual pharma company many tend to have at least undergrad degrees in the sciences. So they do like to have at least one person on a consulting team with a similar background. Consulting firms tend not to have the same expectations because depending on the firm, you could just be leading an implementation of a new EDC platform or supporting data integration across R&D and aPLD assets, rather than actually doing clinical trial management. For CROs, they do tend to prefer nursing or pharmacy degrees. I hope this helps.
