Hi, I was contacted for a role and had phone screening interview. First interview with HM was set after one hour: - what is the process from there? - there are in person interviews or is everything remote? - what LoB privacy program manager belong? - how the privacy work looks like? - I've 11 yoe, masters, doing PhD and tons of certs. What can I expect?
If you book a remote job at a project rate (and had based that rate on available hours during Mon-Fri), but now the client is expecting you to work over the weekend, how would you handle that?
I might be asking a lot, but does anyone have experience transitioning to permanent remote positions in analytics or data science at 40 hrs/week hard stop? Looking for suggestions on how to do it/good companies. I’m ready to get out of the city and start a little farm business on the side.
Back on the market and I’m coming to find two things: 1. Less desirable agencies are the ones who want people back on-site soon, with no wiggle room for remote work. 2. These same agencies want to pay salaries based on COL in the city where the agency is based even if you’re working/living from another market in the interim. Example: Midwest based agency paying Midwest salaries to folks living in places like NY, SF, LA. 🧐🧐🧐🧐
Does anyone know of any website that lets you filter in-house positions by those who allow remote work? I’m assuming this does not exist but wanted to see if any of y’all have any thoughts.
Would you rather A) have a four day work week in the office with Fridays off or B) Five day work week with only 2 days in the office and the other three remote
Any recs for a semi-affordable, last minute get away? I’m still 100% remote, I’m burned out & I need a change of scenery for a few days. I’d plan to go for a long weekend & then work remotely for part & take part completely off.
Greetings fellow Sneaker heads, I am currently looking for my next opportunity and looking at HR business partner/ HR Generalist or Associate HR manager. I’m open to remote work and East Coast and Midwest. Thank you for your Help.
Thoughts on finding an easy-part time remote job (May or may not be relevant to my career) for a year and living abroad? How hard would it be to come back and pickup on your career?
Actually am getting pretty comfortable with this WFH arrangement. dont wanna jinx it 😬😬😬
I work from home 100% of the time. Does Accenture help with costs of setting up a home office? Desk, extra monitor, speaker phone, etc.
One of the best parts of wfh for me is just getting more sleep in the morning. I’m really really really not a morning person. Get to wake up at least a full hour later most days and am far less rushed/have less to do before I start up work. Getting anxiety thinking about return to office and 630am alarms :(
Confessing that after all my pro- remote attitudes, I actually do feel more disconnected, and somehow, not as well liked/embraced working remotely.
Has anyone else also not worked out since WFH was mandated… so like for over a year? I’ve been constantly low energy for months and want to slowly get back in the habit since I think it will help. Problem is I don’t feel too comfortable going to a public gym just yet. Any suggestions?
I feel I lost my social or communication skills because of WFH! Does anyone feel the same way? Sometimes when ppl wanted to have small talks with me, all I wanted to do is to finish that conversation ASAP. It seems I lost the interest to whatever others are saying. Really need some advice here😭
I spoke to a Senior Manager earlier today and she told me they are looking to hire experienced and qualified candidates who have the below requirements: 1) Bachelor’s degree 2) CPA certification 3) 3-7 years of Accounting or Audit experience 100% remote. Then, post COVID traveling will vary. Please, if you meet the above requirements or know someone who does and is interested in joining Deloitte send me a private message. I will have you send your resume and I will forward to Senior Manager.
We are looking to hire some great Sales experts on our team. Great WLB, remote and competitive pay. Please DM me if you are interested.

Hi everyone! I recently accepted a new job with a Big 4 and am also newly engaged. I have a couple of concerns… the main one being that I may not have enough time off for 2022 to cover taking off for the wedding, honeymoon, and then a couple of other weddings where I’m supposed to be a bridesmaid. Do you think there would be any wiggle room with managers allowing time off, or is it generally pretty strict? (Continued in comments)
Just left Big 4 consulting for sales strategy at a Tier 2 tech co (LinkedIn, Salesforce, etc.). Bain reached out today, any good reason to entertain?
How do you expense room service for a meal? It seems like it would just increase the hotel bill in the expense buffer.
Worked hard, won business and asked for a raise - got 10%. Now closer to median salary for my YOE. But it’s not in effect until my first year anniversary which is 2-3 months away. Should I accept the raise or negotiate?
Considering doing a masters. Would my 3 year degree (related field) + MBA (unrelated field) be enough to be equivalent of the 4 year degree in the US?
What do you invest in if you’ve already maxed out 401k and HSA and don’t qualify for IRA?
If your employer did one thing in response to coronavirus, what would you want that one thing to be?
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Question for Deloitte H1b folks - are we allowed to take LOA on our visa? What are the procedures? Thanks in advance.
Does it bother you that the job market is so faddish? When I left college (pre-crisis) most wanted to work for a bank or MBB. Now all I hear about is FANG (but mostly G) and startups.
Feeling burnt out, like I’m not doing great work, in need of a major life change, and that I’m just in survival mode until the Holiday break. Meanwhile I feel guilt of having a stable remote job unlike so many others around the country. Someone tell me that I’m not alone
If I was at an IPG agency, left for a few years and went to a another IPG agency, what’s the situation with PTO - I’ve heard you go back to your last number of days off from your previous IPG agency? Like I had about 30 days when I left, so I wouldn’t want to go back down to like 10 days Interpublic Group
How much do you all spend on food/ eating out? I’m single and looking at my Amex I have been spending 350/400 per month in dc. Don’t drink.
How many points when the Westin loses three pairs of your pants and then the manager is a dick about it.

Anybody else worried about professional repercussions for letting students do real reporting on COVID and how districts are handling it?
