Interviewing with a startup soon. I have a bunch of question prepared about the technical components, but how do I gauge the overall financial health of the company? Can I ask for specific financials? I'm trying to avoid joining a sinking ship. They've doubled in size (employees) over the past year, so that's a good sign. What else could I ask about?

What do you say in interview when they ask- why do you want to leave Deloitte? I don't have a good reason - it's just the money aspect which is making me switch as i am pretty underpaid as per my yoe and designation but I cannot say this to the panel. I'm trying to get a grasp of a good base salary and TC for the Chicago area. I'm a UX contractor being converted to full time and I received an offer for 100k base + 10% bonus. For context this is like a 30% increase from my salary as a contractor and the company isn't a tech company.

I have about 2 years of general industry experience (web dev, web design, agency work) and 1 year of actual product design and finishing up a master's in HCI as well..

Is this reasonable?

If you can choose between August, September, and October for a start date, which is the best to choose?
