Do you negotiate offer letter items with a “Hiring Manager” or HR? Call came from manager but letter from HR followed. Not sure where to go from here, but I definitely want to talk through a few points.

How do you deal with the stress of waiting to hear back about a position that you interviewed for and really want? The interviews all went well with the most senior person even talking about how excited the whole team was about you and how they felt you were a great fit for a variety of reasons. Then said they look forward to talking to you soon. BUT you have had this happen before and been ghosted. AND they are still interviewing another candidate.

I put my profile up on Hired on Tuesday with what I feel like is a high minimum base ( 200k ) and I’m getting 5 or more interview requests a day. Am I shooting too low? I’m not really looking to leave my current job, but I wanted to see what’s out there and gauge my worth. ( current base 180 TC ~300 )

I've had B4, industry accounting and wealth management jobs and there's always been something I was not satisfied with, leading me to find something else. I've been in my current role (industry) for about a year and am already bored and looking at opportunities. Looking to make a career pivot and don’t know if I should outright quit and take a breather from work (I have enough savings) to visit family abroad or take FMLA, knowing I would quit immediately after. For example, if my employer’s corporate office is based in Texas, but I live in Florida and work from Florida, do I have to register as in-house counsel in both states or either states.
