Was way more secretive around the holidays when everyone lied about not traveling but secretly traveled

funny

Yeah. Talking about christmas 2020. Not much secret stuff since then

I think it’s majorly stepping over the line to ask if someone has had a covid test just because they say they’re not feeling well. I could say that snd mean 100 things other than covid. Other ailments do still exist in the world! Automatically assuming it’s A) potentially covid and B) asking if I’ve been tested is way too personal. Maybe I have covid and don’t want to tell you. Maybe I’m just on my period. Maybe I’m hungover. None of your business to ask any other questions on someone’s health.

like

Yes, you can control who comes into your home. You cannot demand health status or vaccine/testing status of coworkers and others you encounter in daily life.

We don't talk about it in team meetings, but when I had 1:1s with my boss and colleagues back in April/May, I'd actually mentioned I got vaccinated and that my whole family was able to get vaccinated way before we'd originally anticipated. Everyone responded with "I already got mine", or "I am going to get mine in the next 2 weeks" or something along these lines. I have no reason to suspect anyone was lying about it.

like

Nope. Partners at previous firm still said it is being blown out of proportion when I left past month. From experience, people that are vaccinated are open about it. Those that aren't only say it in 1:1 settings.

like

Surprised by all the responses. We talk about covid tests, covid test results, vaccination status, etc, all the time, constantly. Lol

like

Same on my team

I have never spoken about it in a group setting. One on one, I’ve talked to many team members

Has anyone gotten into arguments with family members over the science of COVID and taking the vaccine? I firmly believe that it ultimately is your decision whether to get vaccinated, but I’d also be remiss not to share why I think we should trust the science. I don’t think just sitting back and allowing another family to spew out far-right conspiracy theories to other family members is acceptable. And equally, I recognize what I’m doing may not be ok. Perhaps there isn’t an in between. 😒🥴
