Hello wonderful ladies! I'm looking to expand my network of female sales professionals and would love to connect with you! https://www.linkedin.com/in/moncerrattmejia
I am looking for a change after 6 years with the same company. I am actively looking for a new role but haven't been successful getting follow-ups from recruiters. Would really appreciate any guidance, tips or feedback. Also willing to share my resume and CV to see if there's something that I am missing. Hope you all have a wonderful day! 😊

I think people like judging things they don’t understand. I handle ignorance by saying, thanks for the input, I’ll put it under consideration. I then ignore it.
You can always show them a commission check, lol! No but seriously, not everyone can make it in sales and hence why most don’t understand it.
I think the idea & stigma around sales gives off a negative connotation. I think when most people hear the word “sales” they picture a grimy car salesman lol. I never take it personal because like the above comments, our commission does the talking & it’s the bloodline of any business
I’m in sales and sometimes I wonder why I didn’t pick a less stressful job without targets but I’m good at it so just stuck with it
Never had anyone look down at me..family or friends ...been doing sales for 25 years now. Do I LOVE it??? No....I like about 75% of the role...but the quotas....and stress on getting there....can wear ya down. But overall.... I am good at it....it pays well....love meeting people.....getting out and and networking.
I have been doing sales for 5 years. How do you keep going? I love it but it is so exhausting at times!
Sales is the bloodline of any business. If they look down on sales, then their opinion is irrelevant.
I find a lot of people will snub sales out of ignorance. However, they will shut up once they see you make more money then them!
You have to ask yourself why you care. If you enjoy what you’re doing and are making good money, then who cares what other people think.. Ignore the comments - just say “thanks but I love what I do”.
100%. It’s something like the number one least liked/trusted role, period.
Not anyone in my family. They are all really proud of me for killing it in sales. I'm so sorry you are experiencing tht though. I am sure tht is not an wasy thing.
