I’ve been with my company for 5 years and have never asked for a raise, I’ve accepted annual review we get without question. I’ve now realised I’m getting paid significantly less than the market rate. I’m getting job offers with almost 40% increase. I know my male peers at my company get paid significantly more than me. I love my job and my company but I don’t know how to ask for a raise 🙈 I know I deserve it but don’t know how to ask! Any guidance please ?

Hello everyone. I am working as a software developer for a pune based startup. I have almost 4 years of experience in python and javascript (frappe framework). I want to switch the technology/framework. I have already worked on mern stack and I really liked it. Now I have a question that shall I move to mern stack or i should learn machine learning.

I just had an interview for a pretty big tech company, and it was the final step for an offer (just a one on one with the hiring manager, skipped the panel portion). During the interview, I didn’t get to speak at all! The hiring manager spoke the entire time and didn’t ask me any questions, I had to practically chime in to tell her about myself. The only thing she asked was if I had any questions about the role (which I did ask). Thoughts about this? Not sure what to think or how it turned out.

If questioned by an adcom about low UG gpa, is it stupid to say you just didn’t care enough about school at the time? Low gpa, but high gmat. Serious question btw

Just started out of undergrad, what things can I do right now and over the next couple years to improve my chances of getting into an M7 school?

I always dreamt of going to Harvard one day. I am grateful for my experience at BCG and have had 2 promotions over the course of 5 years but I have to say academics is not my strong suit. My undergrad is from a top 5 engineering school and a GPA which is awful 2.79
I’m not sure what the GMAT score will be but it would be barely touching 700 at best because I don’t have the time to study while working.

Do I have a chance at HBS or should I stop dreaming already?

Not really about applications, but for those doing PT MBA and currently interviewing for other jobs, do you tell the hiring manager/HR you are starting the program in the fall (or currently going through it)

Does it help your candidacy to say this or better keep it shut?

Not to be dark, but would a mentally ill parent (e.g., suicidal) throughout college warrant an optional essay on low GPA (3.4)?

It seems like it’s pretty risky to do an MBA (even M7) if you want to work in non-amazon tech. I work for FAANG already, but nervous about recruiting post-MBA since most schools send only 3-6 people to my company. If I do decide to go the MBA route should I just force myself to be comfortable working at amazon?

MBA(M7) is an expensice way to get one last interview with MBB for failed souls and an expensive vacation for the successfuls.

Any experience here with Menlo Coaching? Had a consultation and didn't find them that helpful, want to see if they're worth the $$$$.

Any tips for approaching practice partner for a letter of recommendation? Any concern you will be deprioritized in your group if they know you are planning on going to school?

To those who have done the online GMAT, do you have any room set up tips? Also if the speakers on my personal laptop are dodgy (I usually use headphones with it) should I source a different laptop to use? I'm doing mine this Friday!
