Analyst1, the question of the power imbalance persists. Did intern make out with VP because they thought it would help their chances of an offer or because they wanted to?

I just don’t want to be associated with any “Me too” movement

Well... a couple of VPs and above have already lost their jobs this summer for similar across the street...

👆🏻this. A (married) director of mine who was also the staffer was sleeping with an analyst in my group. I had 3 vacations cancelled whereas this girl coasted through everything. It's not fair. So it's not about whether it's consensual or not - it's about power imbalances and getting ahead. Disclosure - either by them or by you - will help even the playing field for everybody.

Why is it the analyst’s job to fact find and understand the situation? That’s the firm’s job.

VP should have the self respect to not make out with interns. At a minimum it's a conversation. You should report it.

I could be blatantly blind to the movement but I thought the movement is to combat sexual harassment and assault. Do you know if the intern or the Vp felt sexually harassed or assaulted? Just because you’re trying to cover your grounds doesn’t mean what they did wasn’t consensual. Don’t cry wolf if you don’t know the full story....

I heard baml had a few analysts that slept with their directors...was in retail or healthcare or something

@IBA1 dude the world isn’t fair. Deal with it

I'm dealing with it.. by reporting anonymously and having them deal with it :) Just wish I had done it the first time around as well

I know of one @VP1

like

@UBS1 & IBA1 valid point but again that’s an assumption... MS shouldn’t report the situation without fully understanding the situation based on facts coming from the two parties

Did she get an offer?

Anyone know anything about the TBWA/Chiat/Day YoungBloods program? Is it basically an internship? Seems like a good resume-builder.
