Yep, but hopefully not in a firm environment.
I don’t know. I’m only a year in and after an awful firm, a lay-off due to COVID (which was a blessing in disguise because that boss was awful too), and now feeling sort of lost at my new firm... it just doesn’t feel like it’s for me. I hope it gets better though.
Thank you! It was hard but I spent a month enjoying unemployment $ and then a month networking until someone slipped my resume the right way. I do love my new job, but after the first two bosses that just made me feel straight stupid I get a little paranoid that maybe I can’t cut it in the legal field. Still hopeful though!
Absolutely. I practice because this is what I love to do.
I’ve always thought the “happy practicing attorney” is as mythical as the reasonable person. In other words, as I’m practicing law, I’m practicing how the f*** to get out of it.
I see myself practicing till retirement age
I’ll be practicing way past my retirement age

Yep! Hoping to get on that PaRtNer TrACK 😁 love my group and work. Fingers crossed it stays that way for the next 20-30 years 🤞🏼
I don't. I'm really thankful for what I've learned while practicing, but traditional legal work just isn't the right fit for me. I'm going to keep practicing until I figure out my next step, but I hope to take an exit ramp in the next year (Covid permitting, obviously).
