If you took time out if your day to interview someone, would you want a quick little thank you? Feel like everyone appreciates a quick little blurb.
Interviewing is part of work, they're getting paid for it.
Anyway by your logic, the interviewees ought to receive thank you emails from interviewers for taking time out to interview (plus the time to apply, interview prep, etc)
